Places...

A place to think, a place to dream...

A place to write, a place to create...

A place to relax, a place to ponder...

A place to gather, with food and thought...

A place to experiment, a place to learn...

A place to rest after world-weary travels...

A place of choice, a place to be free...

Lately, I've been thinking of places... And of what we need around us in order to live an inspired and fulfilled life. All these 'places'and moreover the infinite feelings they evoke are an integral part, I feel, to leading the lives we've always dreamed of and more importantly, the lives we deserve... We simply must make the time, make the space and make our perfect life happen!

What I did in the interim...

Found myself in empty spaces...

And then, felt joy at discovering new places...

All the while, magic was afoot helping things along...

Spring happened!

And so the wheel keeps turning...

Freedom and Happiness?

I found this little gem on www.weheartit.com, and thought it was worth pondering...

Such philosophical musings require some thought from time to time, don't you think?

Dream a little dream...

Dreaming again...

"We are the music-makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams..."

"Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things that escape those who only dream at night"

Figs - food for thought....

"I saw my life branching out before me like the green fig tree in the story. From the tip of every branch, like a fat purple fig, a wonderful future beckoned and winked. One fig was a husband and a happy home and children, and another fig was a famous poet and another fig was a brilliant professor, and another fig was Ee Gee, the amazing editor, and another fig was Europe and Africa and South America, and another fig was Constantin and Socrates and Attila and a pack of other lovers with queer names and offbeat professions, and another fig was an Olympic lady crew champion, and beyond and above these figs were many more figs I couldn't quite make out. I saw myself sitting in the crotch of this fig tree, starving to death, just because I couldn't make up my mind which of the figs I would choose. I wanted each and every one of them, but choosing one meant losing all the rest, and, as I sat there, unable to decide, the figs began to wrinkle and go black, and, one by one, they plopped to the ground at my feet."

Midnight in Paris...

I've just found out about this new movie by Woody Allen, which takes place in... well, beautiful Paris of course!  It's described as a Comedy/Fantasy and I can't wait to see it!  Another described it as "...a comedic love letter to Paris."
Here's the trailer, which certainly whets my appetite!  Paris looking all bright and summery.... accordian music floating on the warm breeze and Oh, who could that be?  Is it the divine Marion Cottilard looking every bit the dapper flapper and re-igniting my lust for all things 1920's! Oh la la!

The Passage below is the films synopsis, found on the official movie site.  Upon reading it, I feel as though this movie is really going to speak to me, on more levels than one...

"This is a romantic comedy set in Paris about a family that goes there because of business, and two young people who are engaged to be married in the fall have experiences there that change their lives. It's about a young man's great love for a city, Paris, and the illusion people have that a life different from theirs would be much better.

Rockin' Back Inside My Heart...

Anyone who is a fan of the mysteriously surreal TV show that was Twin Peaks, will understand my delight at discovering this...a gorgeous version of Rockin' Back Inside My Heart, performed by The Crab Apples...

I recently discovered this lovely version on one of my favourite Twin Peaks websites,
Welcome to Twin Peaks. If you are a Twin Peaks fan, or not, please have a listen, and check out the website...

This slightly sad love song was originally sung by the haunting vocalist Julee Cruise, on an episode of Twin Peaks, as seen here...

Anything Twin Peaks, and I am in heaven...I also love this picture of James and Donna, from the David Lynch Music Company website, who feature in the above mentioned scene....

Enjoy the Twin Peakstasy, and there will be more to come in our dreams...
"...see you in my dreams..."
