new Mazzy Star...

...well new for me anyway!  i'm only about a year behind, which is pretty good for me lately haha!  this single came out late 2011 i beleive, with a subsequent new album apparently to be released in late 2012.... ah Hope, you take me back to those early 90's places when anything seemed possible.... it's the kind of music that just demands you turn the lights off, throw a sheer scarf over a lamp and put some candles on....lay on the floor on cushions with summer night breezes wafting in through open windows and gauzey curtains.... ahh  my night just got a little mellower... ;-)

Wise Words of Joseph Campbell

"The Privilege of a Lifetime is Being Who You Are." - Joseph Campbell

Something to consider whenever we hit those 'dark' patches of self-doubt.

messengers & destinations

"Everyone around you, friend or foe, is a messenger to demonstrate where you are and how to get where you'd like to be. " Guru Singh.

Ive only just been pondering this today and how much sense it really makes, especially in relation to the times when we may not be for example experiencing the job/career/romance/life/whatever of our wildest imaginings... and we feel as though we are banging our heads on the table over and over again... thinking about a situation in this way helps to not only make things more understandable, but maybe helps us surrender to the ever-unfolding flow of our perfect lives....

So where do you want to go today?

And in the spirit of this:

It really is a great mantra ;-)

on truth and new beginnings....

Photo: What pulls you?

Today I asked a question, and this was the answer -happily- received.
Now to rememer what Rumi says and not ignore the truth and opportunites...

"Affiliated with Beginnings is the goddess Tara, perhaps the most important deity for Tibetan Buddhists and  the compassionate mother goddess. Endowed with the the power to heal all sorrows and grant all wishes. She helps us regain self-confidence and peace of mind. Tara is honoured as the protectress against the many fears that block men and women from living in happiness and harmony. Often our fears will emerge as we begin a new phase of life: a promisng new relationship; a new venture; a change of home or job. The appearance of this card is an invitation for us to consider the functions these fears perform, so we may release them. This is a time fro new beginnings, for optimism and for trust.  Today, you will start something new in your life which will begin a positive journey. Being innocent will allow you to be open to blessings."

It's been a while...

So long since my last post, so much going on in my life. Much change has been afoot... This post is in the form of a bit of a graphic story, dedicated to my fellow 'wanderer in whimsy' here, who is just about to embark on a soul-journey that has been a long time coming! I wish you so well dear WildFlower <3  May your heart and head find the calm-peace and connection to self that (we all) long for! Or in  any event, just have a great relaxing time haha!

Sometimes the best thing to do in life is revel in the journey itself, rather than the destination...

And we should try to live more in the moment each day, rather than always looking ahead to the future.  This can be so limiting as it seems so far away and sometimes seems impossible to get 'there'.... But,

It can be difficult, but we often need to...

As...

Trusting in this will reduce your pain.  And recognising that..

And also that...

We can often judge our own lives harshly and wonder why everyone else seems to be so 'together'...

Comparing ourselves, our lives, our achievements to anyone else's is counter productive and can only lead us down a rabbit hole of despair ad self-loathing....

Sometimes we can get so low that we forget that

and that...

Especially when it seems nobody in your life understands who you truly are, and what your true desires really are... Most important of all though, is this:

Be free.

Nobody Sees a Flower...

"Nobody sees a flower, really, it is so small. We haven't time - and to see takes time, like to have a friend takes time."
